In December 2012 austrian rapper “Son Griot” released his newest music project “4 (Johreszeitn)”, a concept album divided into 4 seasons. Each part composed by a different producer. (“Flip” of Texta in the fall, Nasihat Kartal in winter... just to name a few)

The album is released on the salzburg based indie label “Late Hour Records”. Across Austria, distributed by Hoanzl.

The whole crew started with the recordings in the late summer of 2009 and after 3 years of production in the Late Hour Studio by Harald Mörth, the result is 33 songs, spread over 2 CDs ("Austria's 1st Hiphop Double LP”).

The artist writes all his lyrics in the Salzburg dialect. In addition, the work contains guest appearances by Austrian musicians (such as The More or The Less, Giovanna Fartacek of Dead Note Danse and Dominic Muhrer of the Make Makes). Guest verses come from Maylay Sparks from Philadelphia / USA, Rocc Spotz from Sweden. Due to the different languages and verses (guest appearences in English, Croatian, Turkish, and the Salzburg dialect), the work can also be seen as a multicultural music project.

The artist himself workes since 2003 under the synonym "Son Griot" and is one of austria's first dialect rappers. He founded among other things the first austrian dialect rap jams ("Urban Voices", in 2005), and is initiator of the 2007 Hip-Hop anthem "Soizburga Rap" (see Youtube link).
